This place had a decent breakfast spread and conveniently located near several dining options and hiking trails. The staff also seemed friendly enough.

Our Easter stay was not a pleasant one. The bathroom was in dire need of cleaning, with no soap or towels provided.

Great location, excellent for exploring Harz region. Family room perfect for 2 adults and 2 children. Brilliant breakfast. Short walk to bars and restaurants. Close to forest trails, ideal for hiking. Altenau is a great base.

We loved the convenient location near the forest trails and restaurants. It was only a 5-minute walk from the hotel to the bars and restaurants. Additionally, we found the family room to be perfect for accommodating our two children and two adults. The breakfast was brilliant with a variety of options to choose from.

My partner and I recently had a romantic escape at a hotel in the beautiful Harz region. Despite the fact that the room was a bit shabby, we really enjoyed the great location of the hotel. We were just a short walk away from bars and restaurants and close to some stunning forest trails for a bit of hiking.

the bed was not very comfortable and we both woke up with aches and pains each morning.

We loved the ski-in/ski-out location of the hotel, perfect for downhill enthusiasts. the room was spacious and comfortable, with a clean bathroom and lovely view of the surroundings. the breakfast was excellent, with a good variety of options. We also enjoyed the sauna and fitness facilities available.

The hotel lacked proper soundproofing, and we could sometimes hear noisy guests in the hallway.
